Mercator Ocean International is a non-profit organization currently transforming into an intergovernmental organization, dedicated to providing digital systems and information services for the Ocean.

It is a global ocean forecasting center, recognized for its scientific and operational expertise. A world leader in digital oceanography, they offer global coverage and regional capabilities, providing reliable analyses, forecasts, and data to advance science, inform public policies, and address societal challenges.

Creation of the Starfish Barometer website
via the inwink platform

The Starfish Barometer is the first annual bulletin on the state of ocean health and was unveiled at the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3) in Nice. Developed by a multidisciplinary team of experts and overseen by the One Ocean Science Congress's international scientific committee, this Barometer offers for the first time a clear and accessible synthesis of the ocean's health, human pressures, and their societal impacts.

We entirely created this website on the inwink platform, with the integration of an animated SVG file. The site consists of several pages highlighting all the report's data, the team involved in the project, press releases, and a contact page.

Support for the creation of the European Digital Ocean Pavilion website

During the third United Nations Ocean Conference (June 2-13, Nice), the European Digital Ocean Pavilion welcomed over 27,800 visitors, highlighting Europe's leading role in ocean science, digital innovation, and international cooperation. The Pavilion was organized by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS), in partnership with the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD), the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE), and the Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA), with Mercator Ocean International as the implementing partner.

We supported the Mercator Ocean International teams in creating this website. The main need was to showcase a readable two-week program of events with no less than 600 sessions broadcast live throughout the event, as well as managing application forms for photo contests, for example.

Specific development of a Wordpress plugin

Mercator Ocean International has an institutional website created on Wordpress. All their events are organized via the inwink event platform, so we developed a Wordpress plugin to automatically display the events on their website with a specific set of data to be shown.
